Our handcrafted House of Clay IPA is robust as they come. Is is our tribute to the original buildings of Raleigh's own Shaw University, built with red clay that students made by hand.
Four different hops are front and center with the rye bringing it all home. It's dry hopped for five days for a nice hoppy aroma. Enjoy this brew after a hard day of laying bricks or an easy day of laying around. We won't judge.

The Beer Can section is a virtual homage to the American beer-can collecting craze of the 1970s. The rise of thousands of microbreweries have made 'dump scouring' or digging for old beer cans in the woods and abandoned campgrounds a thing of the past. The thousands of young men who could pick up a can in any vacant lot when the hobby was at its zenith in the 1970s have grown up - but fortunately may now find hundreds of colorful cans (full of good brew) within mere miles of their homes.

Brewer's Exegesis

Rich with citrus, pine, & tropical fruit from copious amounts of hops added late in the kettle and the fermentation tank. We focus on late hop additions making the bitterness well-balanced with the hop profile. Rye notes sneak in with a sharp kick that really lifts the hops on your palate while providing counterpoint to the bitterness.
