Workshop

Finally available is the first solo recording by European guitarist (he's lived in several countries, including Germany and Belgium) Joop Wolters. Simply called Workshop, the recording shows his guitar and songwriting skills developing throughout the year he spent recording it. Capturing various styles and moods, the nine instrumental songs switch from funky rhythms to full-blown, pedal-to-the-metal rock, Workshop has it all.

Un Poco De Lo Mio

An extremely talented and versatile guitarist from Spain, Jose De Castro, has released his debut instrumental CD, entitled Un Poco De Lo Mio. Featuring a combination of hard rock, fusion and shred (ala Prashant Aswani, Greg Howe and Shawn Baxter) on tracks such as "Entre Los Dedos", "Pasos En Las Cuerdas" and "Tornado", De Castro doesn't stop there. He's equally adept at the blues ("Pasion"), rhythmic rock with fingerpicked and slide-like sections ("Luz") and acoustic ("La Mejor Casa"). And there's still three songs to go!

Destroyer

At the time that "Destroyer" was issued, KISS was one of the most popular bands in America, selling out shows across the country and even making a made-for-TV movie. "Destroyer" features the Peter Criss ballad "Beth", and many other hard rock tracks that the party-rock band has been playing ever since.
