Scenario
Al DiMeola's Scenario was recorded and released in 1983, featured fusion stars such as Bill Bruford (drums), Phil Collins (drums), Tony Levin (bass) and Jan Hammer (keyboards), and was one of the first recordings to effectively feature the Fairlight CMI. Both Hammer and DiMeola make use of the system to embellish cuts such as "Mata Hari" and "Cachaca", Hammer, in particular, previewing the 'Miami Vice sound' he would later make famous (check out "Sequencer"). Scenario places more emphasis on DiMeola's compositons than on his impeccable technique - so for a trip back to the sounds of the early '80s 'DiMeola-style' revisit this CD.
