Riverdance (aka Riverdance: The Show) was a spectacular fusion of song and dance, celebrating Ireland and the world beyond. The 2000 show was Raleigh's premier engagement and featured Michael Patrick Gallagher and Tara Barry, as well as the Moscow Folk Ballet Company, Flamenco dancer Rosa Manzano Jimenez and the Riverdance Tappers. The Riverdance Irish Dance Troupe also featured a very young Shane McAvinchey, who teaches Irish dance and is now putting together his own shows.
