Padmaavat

Set in 1303 AD medieval India, Padmaavat is the story of honor, valor and obsession. Queen Padmavati is known for her exceptional beauty along with a strong sense of justice and is the wife of Maharawal Ratan Singh and pride of the Kingdom of Chittor, a prosperous kingdom in the north west of India. The legend of her beauty reaches the reigning sultan of Hindustan – Allaudin Khilji. The sultan who is a tyrant, is fixated with wanting anything that is of exceptional beauty for himself. He lays siege on the impregnable fortress of Chittorgarh.

Bajirao Mastani

Sidharth (Aamir Khan) is a Mumbai "Tapori" and a boxing champion. His elder brother, Jai (Rajit Kapoor) works with Raunak Singh (Sharad Saxena), who now rules their "Basti" through terrorising its people and collecting "Hafta" from local merchants. Sidharth idolized his father, a freedom fighter, whom he saw falling to his death as a child. This affects Sidharth through his adult life. Sidharth meets a young girl, Alisha (Ranee Mukherjee), who rides with a motorcycle gang and Charlie (Deepak Tijori), the gang leader. Sidharth also meets Hari, whose idealism reminds him of his father.

Straight From The Heart

Indian-based traditional family of Pundit Darbar (Vikram Gokhale) gets a visit from Sameer Rafilini (Salman Khan), from Italy, who has come as a pupil to learn music and singing. Darbar and his family accept him. Sameer meets Nandini (Aishwarya Rai), Darbar's daughter, and both fall in love. But Darbar wants Nandini to wed Vanraj (Ajay Devgan), and has Sameer swear that he will leave India, and not marry Nandini, as his guru-dakshina (fee), to which Sameer agrees. Nandini is heart=broken, but does reluctantly marry Vanraj.

On one side of the wall was a heartbroken Paro who became the wife of another. And on the other, was a completely shattered Devdas.
