In the government quarters of Lodi Colony, New Delhi lives the Kaushik family: Railway TC Jeetendra; his dutiful wife, Priyamvada; his physically ailing but feisty mother; and the two sons – a teenage Gular, and Nakul, who is dating his upper-class office colleague Renee. News breaks out that the mother is pregnant, which comes like a shock to the entire family. To top it, they also have to deal with the social embarrassment – friends, relatives, neighbors, everyone’s gaze is now turned towards the Kaushik household.
