Description
Being brilliant doesn't make everyday life any easier. Sometimes it makes it a lot harder. "The Big Bang Theory," one of TV's most popular comedies, follows four forward-thinking but socially backward geniuses. Physicists and roommates Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) can explain the mysteries of the universe, but the girl next door, aspiring actress Penny (Kaley Cuoco), is another matter entirely. Rounding out the group are engineer Howard, who eventually trades his overbearing mom's house for married life with Bernadette, and astrophysicist Raj, who can barely speak to women at first. Over 12 seasons, the gang's relationships grow and change, from Leonard's on-again, off-again romance with Penny to Sheldon's famously unconventional courtship of neuroscientist Amy. Along the way, there are comic book debates, Dungeons & Dragons adventures, a trip to the International Space Station and plenty of lessons in what not to say in polite company. For those who need their laughs with scientific regularity, this is one experiment worth repeating.
