Description
Is there a dyspeptic doctor in the house? In "Doc Martin," successful London surgeon Dr. Martin Ellingham (Martin Clunes) abruptly gives up his practice to become the general practitioner in Portwenn, the sleepy Cornish fishing village where he spent childhood holidays. His luxury car and lavish wardrobe rub the locals the wrong way from day one, and once they get a load of his abrasive attitude and total lack of bedside manner, he manages to alienate most of the town. Small-town life, as Martin quickly discovers, has a way of humbling even the most brilliant among us.
