U.K. guitarist Zoe McCulloch talks about her fourth, and latest CD Gypsy Noodle, "This album is in many ways a musical journey of the last 5 years of my life and some of the people who are special to me that I have met along the way. "Big River" tells the tale of the river Tyne in Newcastle, the town I grew up in. When I was twelve, I went into a recording studio in "Cardiff Bay". There, the first song I ever recorded was "Sacha" and here I am again recording it for a friend who has followed my guitar playing from the start. Just like Jeremiah Dixon, a fellow Geordie, who together with Charlie Mason, in the song "Sailing To Philadelphia", I too went to America to further my dream. Whilst there, I met another Mason, and it was he, Mason Williams who has been the inspiration for this album. Most people know Mason for his amazing composition "Classical Gas" but as I discovered while playing his songs over and over again on a 2,500 mile car journey from Eugene to Nashville, there is so much more to be discovered about this remarkable man and his music."
