Moonchild 98 brings together eleven excellent examples of progressive music for the 21st century, compiled by the Moonchild Records label. The CD includes some great guitaristic forays by Fred Deluc on "Identity", Rick Pruett and Mark Davis on "Ascension", Dan Esposito on "Over The Falls", Joey Blackenstoe on "Rome" and Gunnar Berg on "The Humble Poet", among others. The songs are allowed to run -- many cuts breaking the seven minute mark -- in true progressive style. If you`ve ever wanted a mostly instrumental sampler of progressive music, Moonchild 98 is a great option.
