Enough Talk: San Diego Instrumental Acoustic Guitar Compilation, Volume 1
Featuring the work of eleven San Diego acoustic guitarists, Enough Talk, Acoustic Guitar Compilation, Vol. 1 is an all instrumental collection which shines the spotlight on the songwriting and musical tone of the participants (which include artists such as Larry Mitchell, CJ Hutchins, Joe Mersch and Jim Earp, among others). Guitarist Paul Abbott explains, "I am a musician who plays instrumental acoustic guitar. It has always been my interest to write songs that juxtapose seemingly incongruous elements into a composite work. The concept of this CD struck me as yet another opportunity to do just that, but with people instead of sounds. Most of the musicians on this disc don`t strictly play instrumental acoustic guitar. But all have the potential to create interesting music on many levels, and I knew having them contribute a song for this compilation would result in something extraordinary. I think you`ll agree."
