Lost For Words
Guitarist Dan Begelman fronts the fusion group Project 7 on their debut CD, Lost For Words. Featuring heavy rock guitar in a rock/jazz/fusion setting, the six instrumental offerings highlight Begelman's considerable virtuosity and musical taste. The styles on Lost For Words range from heavy rock ("Six Fingers") to funk("Manhattan Rag") to Jeff Beck-like fusion (the incendiary "Points East"). Begelman solos with an uncompromising sense of abandon yet always maintains a strong melodic concept. Lost For Words also features John DeCesare on bass and Tony Gallino on drums. A very impressive debut album.
