Dancing On The Edge
Liona Boyd's Dancing On The Edge is done in the new age style with fuller instrumentation, and features superb work by composer and guitarist Richard Fortin. Boyd's classical guitar work still stands out and is the primary melodic instrument (except for track two, "We're Only Children" and track eight "Days Of Love And Innocence", both vocal numbers). "Night Of The Gypsies" is an amazing Fortin compostion and features an excellent example of Boyd's more dynamic playing and the technical mastery of her instrument. Other standouts include "Return Of The Knights" and "Renaissance Fair", both which happen to be co-written by Boyd and Fortin.
