The Extremist
The Extremist is a particularly appropriate title for this release, as Satch continues his tradition of exploring new musical ground and the 'extreme' guitar sound. Teaming with producer Andy Johns and aided by the brothers Bissonette (Gregg, drums and Matt, bass), Satriani's guitar talent shines through as he delves into the blues ("New Blues"), neo-folk-with-banjo ("Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness"), funk-rock ("Why") and some concert crowd pleasers ("Summer Song", "Friends").
