Return
A follow up to "Journey To Light", Greek guitarist Harry Kapeliaris' fusion of rock, jazz, funk and shredded licks, is his 2006 release, entitled Return. Loaded with guest soloists, guitarists such as Derryl Gabel, Theodore Ziras and Thanasis Giokas contribute axe work, as well, the CD features contributions by pianist Chris Bassios, clarinet player Nicos Saleas and sax man Bob Tsilivigos, among others. "On The Road" is a fun jam with bass, sax and guitar solos, recorded live, while "Waves, Pictures Of The Greek Sea" showcases Kapeliaris' Greek side. "Heavy Lane" is heavy rock track recorded with Ziras, that also features Shawn Lane talking in a seminar about guitar technique and soulful playing. A diverse collection of instrumentals from a talented composer.
