Prospects
Guitarist Chris Juergensen's Prospects is an all instrumental jazz/fusion CD featuring a dynamic rhythm section and crystalline production. The entire CD was recorded live in two days with no rehearsals before hand. The group of musicians got most of the songs done in two takes with only one punch in during the whole two day session. Prospects has a song for everybody: Bebop, Jazz, Samba, Latin and a few ballads thrown in just in case you're feeling lonely. Juergensen wrote and arranged all the songs on the CD, and delivers his particular brand of fusion with a Metheny-esque tone and an angular soloing style which breathes a fresh new life into the form.
